While it's widely known the majority of Americans are overweight, many are surprised that obesity rates are also climbing at alarming rates internationally. The situation is so dire the World Health Organization has coined the phrase "Globesity Crisis".
The chart shows increasing obesity rates for the adult population in just three countries – China, Brazil and Great Britain. The yellow bar shows obesity rates in 2002, the grey bar shows 2005 data and the red bar forecasts rates in 2010.
